Senior Advisor, Corporate Finance and Strategy

 

Jonathan Skirving is an industry expert with over 17 years of experience in corporate strategy and finance. This includes various leadership, financial, business development and strategic positions at a number of Canada’s leading corporate institutions including the Royal Bank of Canada, Manulife Financial, Sodexo International, and Caldwell Securities. As a bank leader, he arranged lending and equity financing for companies in the range of $1M-$100M.

 

He has assisted several companies through the go public process as a banker, as well as an inside executive.

Jonathan has built and led a number of small and medium business ventures in the mining, infrastructure, software, healthcare, and distribution sectors across Canada. He was responsible for reporting to investors and board of directors, and creating long term strategic and financial plans for both public and private entities. He often holds interim executive roles while assisting clients in achieving strategic mandates and serves on boards of advisors after the completion of a mandate, to assist with the strategic plan implementation.

Jonathan obtained an Honors Bachelor of Arts in Applied Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University and an MBA from the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University, where he served as President of the DeGroote MBA Association. He continues to pursue industry education qualifications and executive education training as part of his lifelong passion for learning. He is a avid athlete, world traveler, and volunteer and is a strong advocate for giving back to one’s community and doing good for others.
